In private practice for over 30 years, Dr. Mele completed both an undergraduate degree in chemistry and a doctorate of dental medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He finished his orthodontic residency at Temple University and for almost 20 years he was a faculty instructor at Temple School of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics.
Dr. Mele is the long-time treasurer of the Greater Philadelphia Society of Orthodontists. He lives in Abington with his wife Colleen and their three daughters. Dr. Mele grew up in the Philadelphia area on a gentleman’s farm caring for goats, sheep, assorted fruit trees and vegetable gardens.
In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family, reading, piano playing, and landscaping. He has a passion for historical Philadelphia residential architecture.
